Sophie has taught basic piano to Children and Adults alike. 

"The key to a good piano teacher is patience. Everyone gets there eventually, in their own time."

Beginners will learn the basics of music, notation, rhythm, and pitch. Over time you will progress to play with two hands together, classical and modern pieces.

 "When teaching Children I like to work from different piano books for a variation on pieces and to hold their interest. They usually get a sticky star at the end of class if they play well!"

Intermediate

Intermediate pianists will work through repertoire and on technique. The lessons will consist of scales and arpeggios and a mixture of classical and modern pieces. You will also learn about jazz chords and how to sight read and busk.
